TENERIFE SHIPYARDS RECEIVES EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011 CERTIFICATION
Tenerife Shipyards, one of the Hidramar Group shipyards with a high-quality offshore and structure fabrication business unit, has received the EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011 EXC-4 certification.
EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011 is a European standard that specifies the requirements for the execution of steel and aluminum structures, including welded structures for use in buildings and civil engineering works. It also covers the EXC-4 marking of offshore structural components which is the highest class of execution, which means that a company certified to this level is capable of producing the most complex and critical steel and aluminum structures.
Tenerife Shipyards’ team has passed a rigorous process to obtain this certification, demonstrating that the Shipyard has the technical knowledge and capabilities to produce structures that meet the requirements of the European standard.
EN 1090-1:2009 + A1:2011 certification ensures that Tenerife Shipyards manufacturing processes and quality control meet the highest standards, this is essential when it comes to offshore components, and this is an important achievement for Tenerife Shipyards recognizing that the components the shipyard fabricates are suitable for the most demanding offshore environments and can resist the severest conditions.
This recognition will be part of our existing certifications ISO 14001, ISO 18001 and ISO 45001.
